Save Nature today and survive tomorrow

” Let us sacrifice today so that our children can have better tomorrow ”  A.P.J Abdul Kalam

We had a peaceful life, plucking fruits from trees, roaming around and even hunting. But modernization was catching on human beings. Soon we discovered the wheel and used that for transport, then we got fire, and gradually we got civilized. During this process of modernization, we were slowly but surely going away from Mother Nature. Our relationship with nature is getting detached.

Mother Nature made humans and we are returning the favor by killing her. She is also getting frustrated with us and unleashing her wrath with devastating natural disasters. I can’t blame her. Frankly speaking, I would have done the same if my children tried to kill me. Can you imagine our world facing increased threats of apocalyptic hurricanes, earthquakes, fires, floods, diseases and extinction caused by global warming? Some people say that scientists are overreacting and that the situation is not as bad as it seems. Well, think twice. The world is facing gargantuan problems for 2 reasons: First, the increase in the temperature and second, the melting snowcapped mountains. This is evidenced by forest fires and flash floods all over the world , leading to loss of lives and extinction of some animals and plants. Further, floods and droughts would lead to loss in food production leading to hunger in many parts of the world. In conclusion, global warming is a  very serious and urgent issue confronting us.

“A stitch in time saves nine” _ Benjamin Franklin.

Everyone, let’s roll up our sleeves to combat global warming by going green and conserving energy today ! Reduce ! Reuse ! Recycle ! Put a stop to the drop; Save Ozone, our planet’s safe zone. Energy saved is energy produced. Let us not forget that today’s wastage is tomorrow’s shortage.
